The Company

Ballymount Enterprises was formed when it became evident to its two directors that there was an opening in the construction industry for an innovative contractor who not only had the enthusiasm to acquire contracts, but also certainly had the ability to carry them out efficiently.

Since Ballymount Enterprises began in September 2002, it has grown steadily as a direct result of a rigorous commitment to client satisfaction. While the company has grown substantially, the maintenance of a “hands on” policy by senior management in the day to day running of all projects ensures that this client satisfaction is maintained. We are constantly looking for new and better ways of carrying out projects. We acquire the best technical and logistical solutions.

It was with this in mind that we have invested in large quantities of the Peri Wall Formwork System, a proven leader in the modular panel formwork system industry. We have suitable plant and equipment to assist us in general and in the speedy use of our Peri formwork system.

We have an industrial unit in Balcatta, which currently incorporates our office, a 400m2 indoor storage area and yard. We intend to move into our larger  office /warehouse facility  at our extensive storage yard in Kwinana  ,upon completion of its upgrade in 2010.

Since its inception, Ballymount Enterprises has employed  in excess of 100 men  on various projects, and due to the respect it has attained as an employer, it has the ability to retain and acquire workers.

Estimating for small contracts is generally carried out in-house. For larger contracts it is however carried out by a specialized Quantity Surveyor who deals primarily with engineering projects such as those that we work on.

In certain situations, we attain the services of a professional consultant to carry out design works for formwork, lifting, preparation of shop drawings, project administration, and as already mentioned, Estimating. We are constantly developing and taking this work in-house .We currently have an engineering department  ,mainly dedicated to general site engineering requirements and quality assurance.

We consistently re-engage the same organization as we have established a sound working relationship with them and they are familiar with our requirements and methods.

Ballymount Enterprises is a young , innovative, flexible and committed company producing quality work, a company on the move. We are focused and extremely dedicated to carrying out projects on time and on budget. Those attaining our services, as our history shows, will indeed get the job done.

The Directors

Ballymount has two directors, brothers, Nicholas Tallon and Patrick Tallon.

Nicholas has been involved in the formwork industry for 28 years. He is a fully qualified carpenter who has always specialised in the formwork/concrete industry. He spend several years in Sydney where his company at that time, Anta Carpentry, was one of the main subcontractors to Theiss/Thyssen, on the Sydney Harbour Tunnel Project. Mainly involved in the arch lining. On completion of that project, he returned to Perth where he held Supervisory roles with some larger formwork contractors until teaming up with his brother Pat in 2002 to form Ballymount Enterprises Pty Ltd. Pat has been in the construction industry for 23 years. He qualified as a Carpenter/Joiner through the Defence Forces in Ireland receiving the highest award as best Carpenter Joiner.

Prior to his immigration to Australia in 1999, he had owned and operated a construction company in Ireland called "Tallon Woodcraft". This company carried out various sized projects on a domestic level including house building, renovations and carpentry projects. It also operated a cabinetmaking wing, which completed kitchens, bedrooms, and makeovers.

Since Pat has been in Australia, he has worked in the formwork area and quickly took on supervisory roles. Send Pat an email.
